This is the rare and now famous Jaeger LeCoultre Corvo Reverso. The Reverso was introduced in 1931 as a design to protect the watch from the rigours of polo matches. In the 1940s, JLC stopped making the Reverso and the model was all but lost in horological history. Until the 1970s, when Italian retailer Giorgo Corvo discovered a stash of 200 Reverso cases at the JLC factory. Corvo convinced Jaeger, who was still resistant to bring the model back, to let him take a few watches to his service department to try and rebirth the classic. Corvo was successful and Jaeger LeCoultre agreed to produce 200 pieces using those old Reverso cases and Corvo sold all 200 in less than 3 months.
